Fenced! Once and for all.
The civic authorities, tired with the irresponsible act of people throwing garbage into drains causing a wide spread water logging effect and also leading to stagnation of drainage water have come up with the fencing of such garbage throwing points. The authorities have completed a high fencing on this bridge that leads to Ejipura and Ashwini Lay Out from 80 Feet Road Koramangala. This would however see a decrease in the amount of waste being dumped into this main drain. But our team spotted a loop hole, as the fencing is done only on one side of the bridge while the other side is still exposed which can allow irresponsible people to dump garbage. How ever this is a good move by our authorities who have brought about a change and an effective solution to this garbage throwing prevention and allow smooth flow of the drain. How ever the drain leading from 80 Feet Road into this main drain is exposed all along its course and people have dumped huge amount of garbage stemming the flow of water. Besides this the drying of the dumped garbage and waste has been resulting in a pungent smell making you to close your nose as you try and take a walk along the road. Hope the authorities can take note of the above and bring about a lasting solution to the problem.
